Our Edx Education® GeoStix® allow children to use their creativity and problem solving skills to build bright, colourful designs whilst learning geometric concepts. As children snap the stix together to form triangles, squares and polygons, they can see and feel how shapes and angles fit together, supporting hands-on maths and STEAM learning.
What makes GeoStix® special is the endless variety of shapes you can make. The 80 piece set combines straight stix in 8 colour-coded lengths and 2 transparent protractors, with every stick marked in cm to show its length. GeoStix® are the only construction sticks with multiple points of connection, so children can build triangles, squares, polygons and more, while the transparent protractors snap directly onto the stix to measure and explore different angles.
The learning grows with your child. Younger children can start flat on the table, snapping stix together to explore squares, rectangles and rhombuses, or the three kinds of triangle equilateral, isosceles and scalene. As confidence develops, the same stix and protractors open up angles, fractions and proportion, showing a full circle as the whole and a single quarter as the focus, and even demonstrating parallel lines, bisectors and transversals. With a downloadable activity guide included for guidance and inspiration, every press and connection helps build the fine motor control and mathematical thinking young learners need.
